As a nursing student and single mum to two neurodivergent boys, Vanessa (founder and sole operator of VM In-home Care Support Services) understands

first-hand the challenges and responsibilities that can come with being a carer. Combined with her passion for health promotion and her own personal lived experience, Vanessa is passionate about encouraging independence, autonomy and overall wellbeing, while supporting older adults to remain at home for as long as possible.

Vanessa also understands that supporting an older loved one is a shared journey. Family members and friends who provide care need support too. Vanessa aims to provide trusted, compassionate assistance that allows carers to step away from their responsibilities when needed — whether that's to attend an appointment, go to work, spend time with family and friends, pursue their own interests, or simply take some time to rest and look after themselves.
